Ojo Encino (0)
The Quivira Coalition is assisting the Ojo Encino Chapter of the Navajo Nation to expand their efforts to build economic and ecological resilience, principally by helping them develop the capacity to plan and implement ecological restoration projects using local materials and labor, to plan and implement managed grazing of livestock and to begin a proactive management program for feral horses. This work builds on the success of The Quivira Coalition's New Ranch Network support to the Ojo Encino Chapter, located near Cuba, New Mexico, which has markedly increased the Chapter's capacity to restore and manage its rangelands.
