Tamara E. Gadzia, Publications Director

Tamara Gadzia has an educational background in history, biology/ecology and education. After teaching high school and working for 12 years in biomedical research, Tamara came to the Quivira Coalition in 1999 as a volunteer, becoming a full time employee in 2000. Over the years she has taken on many tasks required of a conservation non-profit organization. While managing the office and finances, she helped to write three EPA 319 Water Quality grants for the Comanche Creek and Dry Cimarron watersheds and was project manager for all three. She organized and implemented riparian restoration workshops and trainings, water harvesting from rural roads workshops and trainings, outdoor educational seminars on rangeland health, Quivira's annual Water Symposium, and Annual Conference. Tamara is currently the Publications Director and is responsible for layout and design of Quivira's Journal, bulletins, field guides, books, conference programs, event flyers, annual reports, and promotional materials. Her most successful endeavor has been working with Bill Zeedyk and Van Clothier on the publication, Let the Water Do the Work: Induced Meandering, an Evolving Method for Restoring Incised Channels.
